The Daily Mail - The Biggest Loss Ever
The daily mail was hit with the biggest libel settlement ever. Lord Northcliffe, its then owner, launched a campaign against lever and everything that he stood for. Even though the business had suffered enormously in loss of sales through through the campaign by by the newspapere he gave much of it away to found te a, liverpool hospital of tropical medicine.
