Why Is Twitter's Estimation of Daily Monotisable Active Users a Fail?

Musk has no real evidence that twitter's estimates of daily monotisable users are wrong, he instead has a feeling that they are. He initially announced that he wanted to buy twitter in order to fix its bot problem. The angle that his lawyers chose in order to help him break this agreement is not that there are too many bots. It's instead that when he asks for data about how many of the monotisable daily active users are bots, twitter doesn't give him enough information to calculate this himself.
