Jump Plots - Is There Any Use?

I've seen beautiful visualizations of jump sharts are jump plots. I've never done one personally, but there's a coolness to them. But have you ever found any use for a jump plots yourself? The it's interesting. And as usually the case with me, it's like, ok, here's another case where i've been schooled and realized my short sightedness. It's a good way to show am how much time it may take between in a process and ins war development.
