I think it's not an easy question or answer and I appreciate the thinking through from an evolutionary lens. If you don't do this process you can come out with a very misguided understanding of what's going on under evolution, he says. Darwin spends a lot of the early part of the origin of species trying to find that line and he finds that essentially he can't which is like quite an important insight. He suggests a lot more occurs under roughly speaking Darwinian evolution than we might normally think about a term like proliferation or rumination.
