The court is in a difficult position of deciding whether or not climate change should fall under human rights law. Cat Slicelow: I'm quite hopeful that the European Court of Human Rights will take a strong stand on climate change. The Council of Europe met up last week and discussed formalizing a right to a clean and healthy environment, specifically for citizens to take climate cases to Strasbourg.
