What Is a Vinegar?

Common vinegar is made from wine, where the alcohol in the wine becomes oxidized. Alchemists didn't know how but thought it was a 'magical' process. The old alchemist preferred to take red lead instead of led oxide. He used acetic acid which was naturally produced.
