How to Write a Five Paragraph Essay
When you assign a five paragraph essay, make it clear that one of the prerequisites is that students either engage in a very clear either or discussion where they're not able to just consider one side. Have them write a conclusion that aims to weigh out the different kinds of perspectives towards some sort of conclusion. And then the conclusion can be trying to synthesize all of those different perspectives into some kind of coherent conclusion.
