Mattel made $80 million off of it, which is huge amount of money to make for one Christmas seasonToy industry is very seasonal anyway. You make it all your money off, tickle me Elmo one year and then kids move on to the next thing. And people's fascination with VR continued on. The stuff that we use today is really just the direct descendants of that early work.
