The Well of Living Water
A lid is put on a well to stop any kind of evaporation from taking place. The idea here is that they're waiting until all the flocks are gathered, then we'll roll away the stone. Sound like a covenant kind of context? In fact, sound a lot like jesus christ here as the well of living water. If you will roll the stone away, then life, life giving water, will come and give, give, and everyone can have access to it.
