Building an Argument Matrix
In most cases, the argument structure of the debate doesn't reveal itself as plainly you would like. You need to demand to see it by setting up those argument categories in the system you're using and actively work at reconstructing how those exchanges would go based on your current understanding of the positions. Your own positions will evolve overtime as a result of this process, which isn't a bad thing. But that's how you build an argument matrix.
