30 years between 1914 and 1945 were 30 years of a nightmare. In the thirdies we didn't have to worry about AI destroying most jobs, they were not even computer, let alone AI. Social security had been barely created and the average worker would die at the age of 60 before he or she would get the first social security check aged 62. This time around if you're going to have a war within great powers it's not going to be conventional because all the great powers have the nuclear bomb. A war that starts as conventional as well become unconventional and with the specter of a nuclear winter.
