The Importance of Softening the Breath
You shouldn't go into any yoga postures or new neighborhood of your body unaccompanied. If the breath is not there then back out of it. You can go into pranayama practice and do all kinds of crazy things. The tabby joy says that's like plugging your body into a 1000 volt socket. And at a psychological and physiological level there's harm being done.
