Will the Bank of England Increase Interest Rates?

Currently interest rates have been increased to 2.25% recently. There is an expectation that they're going to peak at between five and six percent next year. If the bank rate hits 4.5%, then a homeowner, we mortgage in next year, will see their mortgage payments go up by more than 50%.
