When you came up with the title of your book, I don't want to die poor. How long did you sort of linger on that? Oh, it was immediate. The thing that is so important about your writing is you don't oversimplify or flinch away from structural issues such as economic, class and racial shaped experiences. That doesn't necessarily mean you have to debase yourself or give in to any trope.
