The War in Ukraine: A Reality Check for the Neoliberal Technocracy

I think we're into our fifth day of the war in Ukraine. I just want to, you know, maybe offers a provocation here. The dominant media response seems to very much orbit around simplistic caricatures of Russian motivations. To what extent is the Ukraine invasion here kind of a reality check for the neoliberal technocracy that has so heavily characterized the end of history moment? In his book he says 2016 is a key dividing line because it's when the essentially the belated political consequences of the 2008 global financial crisis are felt.
