The New York Mets went from last place to winning the National League pennant in 1969. The team was so bad that their tickets were hard to get because nobody else wanted to watch them play. Marie's parents promised her they would take her to World Series games, but she didn't realize it until after season ended. "We don't care how good or bad they are. We don't even know that they're terrible," says Marie.
