Building designers have often assumed that eliminating the distractions of outside world, or the glare of natural light, is the perfect setting for thinking. But it's actually and incredibly impoverished setting for thinking - we need variations in environment to help us think. The concept of biophelia which is bringing plants and light and making an environment on the inside with views of trees has been improved in hospital studies. It helps your short term memory, which improved by 14 % in some studies.
