How to Learn Phrases in English

A phrasal verb is a phrase in English that consists of a verb and a preposition. In most other languages, phrasal verbs don't exist. Many times it doesn't really make sense to you when you actually hear the word in a real situation. And so I don't think making random lists is very helpful. Sometimes lists are helpful, but you have to have more purpose with these lists.
