What I Learned From the Pandemic in Ukraine
I made a lot of mistakes during this process, even as a person who's trained in behavioral science. I started early with the crisis in Ukraine, like talking to my team and being like, are you okay in asking lots of questions? And then I realized that they didn't want to talk about it. They wanted to be distracted. Even if the topic is good, Zoom is just it's draining to be having a group of people watching you. Let them turn the cameras off. Also, sometimes just let people do what they need to do.
