The Role of Hormones in the Body

Vitamin D is important to regulate that sleep cycle in particular, melatonin production rather. Vitamin D actually we now recognise as a hormone, it's not actually a vitamin. It functions like a hormone and it has roles in the body like a hormone so it regulates and out-regulates and down-regulates other genes. So yes, important to get enough sunlight exposure. If you can't get enough sunlight, worried about skin cancer, then obviously have your vitamin D levels checked and supplement as needed. Our bodies will heal if you give it the right conditions to do so.
