The author illustrator route in your opinion easier for somebody just entering the market than just straight illustrator getting book deals. Sometimes, but not always is not everybody is a writer. Many people are not artists. So sometimes it's not yeah. The answer is if you're a good writer and a good illustrator. And not everybody is.
