The Importance of Diagnosing Psychopaths
In 10 years, I've had one student startle me by saying, yeah, I'm going to do that. It sort of suggests what Abby says, they're being people with psychopathy rather than being psychopaths. There are probably degrees. We talk about how sometimes people with psychopathic traits don't have any of the neural or genetic markers that are associated with psychopathy. They just had a terribly difficult childhood. And vice versa.
