The British Monarchy and the Commonwealth
I don't think globally, the british monarchy has ever exercised such power, symbolic and cultural power, as they do now. And we now will want them to operate at this level and to shape a the questions that we need to address at this global level. So i think it looks very positive. What you're saying does not reflect reality. Er it is, most of those nations are republics. Despite its claims to support values like democracy ind human rights, it seems quite happy to r make room for dictators and people with awful human rights records.
