The Code Pandemic

For years it's been increasingly clear, everyone knows that politics corrupts people an that many politicians are corrupt. In the last few years there was a lot of talk about the corruption in hiheread but it seemed be focused on the humanities and the social sciences. And i think one of the things that am the code pandemic has put in stark relief for a lot of people. It involves getting grants from agencies that have their own political bent. That is not a scientific situation at all, but it's exactly how almost all science is funded at this point.
