All three kidnappers were eventually sentenced to life with the possibility of parole. One of the brothers, richard shonfeld, was granted parole in june 20 twelfth and then three years later, his brother james was paroled. Now there's fred woods, the last kidnapper in prison. And he was denied parole on october eighth, 20 nineteent for the nineteenth time. He had been running a gold mine from behind bars without notifying authorities.
