I wanted to do something with political theory, and specifically with thi thing we call the history of political thought. A lot of pagden's work left for me a kind of void about what did the first generations of thinkers travelled to the America actually experience? Am so the kind of seeds of wonder we're genuinely in the wonder of how come all these people are talking about indigenous communities, and they're talking about who's a human being and what counts
