British Scandal

Anna left Brian doing lengths of his swimming pool in the twilight with Frank, the builder he's employed to renovate the house. In the dim garden lights, Anna can just about make out a dark shape, still at the bottom of thepool. She dives straight in, fully clothed. Her hands brush his body. Deep down she knows it's Brian and grabs him tightly by the arms. They both kick their weight to the surface. He's limp and pale, but she thinks she feels the faint drop of a pulse. But her eyes roll back into an empty sockets. British Scandal is on BBC One tonight at 9pm.
