The Rise in Triumph of the Modern Self

In the film we decided to start in the mid 20th century with these two guys because it is where they were influenced by people. John money who was one of the guys who thought of this idea that actually people have a gender and a sex he coined the term gender identity. Carl Truman's an author he wrote a book called the rise in triumph of the modern self which I would highly recommend everyone read. He traces the philosophical roots of this phenomenon back hundreds of years.
