How Do Animals Understand Reality?

How can we be certain about our knowledge and what we think is true? Why is human understanding taken as the ultimate truth? Which of the experts is right? There's a lot of different models of reality, scientific models, religious models and so on. How do we know that a particular model that we hold as being the most accurate is actually the most accurateits very interesting. What is truth? That's a very fundamental question that we need to ask when we study epistemology.
