The Importance of Quality in a Criminal Defense Case
This person asserted his Fifth Amendment rights and would not testify at this pretrial hearing. So that will teach anybody to be listed as a defense witness, right? That is the point. And so while the government no longer was relying on a single cooperator and they now had two, and the cooperator could talk, it's a real lesson that quality matters more than quantity. You know, having two weak cooperators didn't turn out to be that much better for the government than having one weak cooperator.
