Is Dualism Adaptable?
There's some people that speculate belief in the afterlife is an adaptive feature, because then it reduces anxiety about death. I think you can explain dualism just by the two other engines: intuitive physics and theory of mind. And each of those systems is only adaptive. It's only adaptive for a child to know, what is an objective is, what is the body of their mother? Look at their mother as that a single entity is supposed to say,. If you only see my torso now, know that I also, you know, if you saw my legs separately, that's the same person. We are what our brain tells us. Right.
