Shelley asked whether she should invest in Japan as a short-term or long-term move. John Sutter: "If it is short-term, I would not get involved in all of this complexity" He says for most US-based investors, he'd keep her asset allocation close to the same. The Japanese economy has been hamstrung by some decisions they made years ago and interest rates are still very low.
