The Enemy of Totalitarianism Is Pluralism

Totalitarianism can only subsist by reducing people to what she calls a bundle of reflexes. Hanna arent would say the enemy of totalitarianism is plurality. The political realm is the only place where a plurality of voices can be heard. She'd want us to realize that this contemplative life style has real consequences in the world. You can't innocently and benignly theorize about things by yourself and just expect things to end there.
