An investor has to change with the world. buffet did a lot of investing in companies with motes impregnable be attacked. To day, most newspapers are fighting for their lives. People often try to invest using formulas and try to coudify other people's take into formula. There's no rule by or sell or high multiple or low multiple. It all just involves judgment and deep knowledge.
