Ludwig van Beethoven left behind sketches for a tenth symphony. Some computer scientists used AI to complete what was unfinished. They extracted statistics of Beethoven's choices and preferences from everything he'd written. But even with this feat, it was clear that the AI didn't know how to think long-term.
