Maximus and the Vandals in Rome

Maximus, the new emperor of Rome, was killed by an angry mob. His wife wrote a letter to gensarc asking for help against him. The vandals arrived on the italian coast and marched on rome. Maximus told the frightened citizens of the city to just make a run for it. But they decided that it really wouldn't be right to let maximus off the hook for provoking a vandal invasion like that.
