The Complexity of Tagalog

There are time expressions using the Tagalog numerals, and there's ways to say the year in Tagalog. The only time you hear the year stated in Tagalog is on the National Language Day when they try to say as much as they can in Tagological. A new religion can bring in a whole lot of liturgical terms and sort of terms relating to the cosmology of that religion. And sometimes it's not even like a direct line. For example, Chinese ended up borrowing a lot of terms for Western sciences from Japanese where those terms were coined using Chinese roots.
