The Problem in a Lot of Our Churches Is Partisanship
i think part of the reason we are where we are is because for decades, pastors and church leaders haven't talked enough about politics. We've avoided those topics so much in the church that we've surrendered thatterritory of discipleship over to the media and to partisan actors. All that was needed to cause the implosion that we have seen was a sufficiently provocative stimulus. I think trump, their saying was the stimulus,. And covid, trump and covid and george floyd, right? Ok. That's exciting the evangelical church in the us. Over the last five decades, has failed to form its adherents into disciples. So there is a great hollowness.
