Aristotle says that the soul is the first actuality of a natural body having life. You can be brain dead, and yet you still have a soul because your soul is the fact of your life. The only encounter we have with the divine image is in this physical experience,. And thereis no escaping it. There is no reducing yourself to just a chemistry set inside a sack of meat or whatever. A again, i know that i talk about, like, all this political stuff from time to time on this podgas yoy... But underneath these fights, there are profound questions about the nature of us and the nature of our experience.
