The first time I heard the word, I heard the oxyribonucleic acid defined wasn't an episode of G.I. Joe in the late 1980s it was like whoa that's cool. And so, you know DNA dinosaurs. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this is going to blow up culturally. Back then there were two different approaches that scientists really pursued in the late 80s early 90s and they both failed at extracting identifiable DNA from insects and amber. So actually we were way more optimistic or expectations were not. They were not calibrated appropriately, you know?
