Is There a Community Pressure Against Foundational Work in Physics?

Ri i've head that there were a handful of physicists who took a really strong stand against many odds, or perhaps against the everat interpretation. And perhaps then more genior scientists were the less willing to go along with that because they thought it wuld damage their reputation. These days, i'd say it's less that there's a community pressure against everat as well as foundations and pure conceptual questions in physics. The journal foundations of physics has traditionally had quite a poor reputation among physicists. Part of that is prejudice against foundational work.
