Is Religion the Greatest Heritage of Our Meanings?
I believe we can be in the world with confidence that faith still has a role to play in society and what it means to be human. And religion is the greatest heritage of our meanings. I think one of the great tragedies of contemporary life is that we've become very hyperfocused in ae small window of what a sense of self even is. We look at it as it's just me, and it includes very little else. i think that so much of what religious commitment in a religious community does is expands your sense of self.
