The Role of Plate Tectonics in Venus' Habitability
Earth seems to have been Clement, for most of its history. If Venus was ever not the hellish world of this today, then the thinking goes that it must have been able to somehow have kept its climate relatively climate. And the way we know Earth does that is through plate tectonics. We think to preserving retaining Earth's habitability over the past at least 3.4 billion years - but likely much longer.
