The Difference Between Mocks and Stubs

You said that as long as you're testing code that is under your control. Third party libraries are mocked away. As far as we're talking about faking things out, I don't like the word mocked away. There has to be a difference between mocks and stubs. People use the word mocking when they actually mean, no, I'm just creating a stub or I'm faking this out.
