The Rise of Multi-Factor 2FA Authentication
Microsoft's latest cyber signal report shows that 35 million business email compromise attempts were made in the last year. This came as part of an overall 38% increase in cybercrime as a service attacks against business emails since 2019. Microsoft observed attackers using multi-channel spamming campaigns, including fake 2FA authentication to eventually wear down victims.
