The Origins of Norse Mythology

I've been teaching Norse mythology at the Institute really since the 1990s. I developed a thesis over the years that our culture, Western civilization, is really more Nordic than perhaps even Greek, Greco-Roman. And when I would say to people, how do you think of our democracy as Nordic Viking? They would get very defensive and pissed, actually pissed off,. How do you Think of Our Democracy As Nordic Viking?
