If you want your beliefs to be as close to the truth as possible, and not just a collection of fun things that you like to tell yourself, you instantly assume a lifelong responsibility. You need to constantly look at your beliefs through a critical lens in order to get them right. But this isn't the end of the discussion, all right. There's much, much more to talk about, many questions and conversations to be had. And i can't think of a better way of doing it than by relating it to one of these critical issues being rethought during the enlightenment period the practice of slavery.
