The Economic Impact of Wagner's Mutiny on Wheat Prices
Wagner's attempted mutiny has put wheat prices on course for their biggest monthly gain in eight years. It's sent the ruble tumbling and triggered a surge in gas prices as international markets lost confidence indeed the value of the Russian ruble sank to its lowest level in nearly 15 months against the dollar. European natural gas prices rose as much as 14% on Monday before easing back. Gas prices are already leapt by around 20% this month driven largely by prolonged production outages in Norway.
