Is Science Fiction the End of Evolution?

A system with all the same organism with complex challenges is very unlikely to persist for a longer at a time. The complexity arises from an arrangement of fairly simple organisms. If we want to explain alien life, that's what we've got to explain. But if they're just floating there and there's nothing much going on, it's hard to see how that could happen.
