The Importance of Custom Post Types in WordPress
When I came to WordPress, it wasn't immediately obvious in any part of the UI how to create a custom post type. In many cases, I think people will install some plug in which takes care of that. It's interesting because we were talking earlier about things like Joomla and Drupal. Even in versions significantly before the era that we're now talking about, that kind of functionality was built into the core of the platform.
